Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd., an Alberta Corporation, is a privately owned company which is an Accredited Agency for the Electrical Discipline of the Safety Codes Act. It was SECOR certified in 2009. Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. is a young and progressive company that was formed initially to perform electrical inspections in the province of Alberta. Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. does not have any affiliations with construction companies working in the oil and gas industry.
Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. has an experienced staff of Master Electricians that offer a vast knowledge base in all electrical applications involving the oil field industry. All employees have completed the required courses to become Certified Electrical Safety Codes Officers.
All Electrical Safety Codes Officers are kept current to changes in the industry and Revisions of the Canadian Electrical Code. Seminars conducted through out the year featuring representatives from such areas as Alberta Labor, Electrical Technical Administration and the Canadian Electrical Code.
These seminars provide opportunities for the Electrical Safety Codes Officers to become familiarized and updated with any new changes to the Safety Codes Act and revisions to the Canadian Electrical Code. Additional benefit for Safety Codes Officers is the exchange of related job information to enhance job performance. This promotes consistency among all of the Safety Codes Officers which in turn is passed on to the clients of Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd.
All compliance monitoring is maintained at a central location and Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. has constructed a database to monitor inspections and assist in scheduling. This service adds value for clients of Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. because it allows compliance monitoring for different clients to be scheduled simultaneously. Costs are thereby reduced and savings are passed on to the client companies. This system also provides the required information essential for audits conducted by the Safety Codes Council.
For regularly scheduled compliance monitoring, the client company is given two options:
1) The Safety Codes Officer can schedule a specific visit for the given site, or;
2) The Safety Codes Officer can schedule the site visit along with visits to other client companies. By scheduling the visit with multiple client companies, the travel costs are reduced and savings are passed on to all clients.
Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. is equipped to construct Quality Management Plans (QMP) for individual clients. Elspect Electrical (2007) Ltd. has successfully assisted several Corporations in constructing their Quality Management Plans and implementing their programs.
